Columbus High Cross Dispensary
This project converts a former restaurant in Columbus, Ohio into a modern retail dispensary through a full architectural renovation. The design centers on transforming the building’s existing structure into a contemporary, customer‑focused environment while preserving key spatial qualities that give the project its character.
At the heart of the renovation is a large double‑height product showcase room, where clerestory windows bring in soft, natural light and highlight the exposed structural truss work overhead. This dramatic volume establishes a strong visual identity for the dispensary and creates an open, inviting retail experience. Interior improvements include a reorganized floor plan for secure circulation, refined material selections, and upgraded lighting and millwork to support both functionality and brand expression.
Exterior updates modernize the building’s presence with refreshed façade treatments and coordinated signage, completing the transformation from a former restaurant into a fully realized retail destination. The project demonstrates how thoughtful adaptive reuse can elevate an existing structure into a distinctive, high‑performance commercial space.
